Zimmer, Niklas Zimmer, Niklas NeDICC - Identifiers for Everything This presentation, created for the Network of Data and Information Curation Communities, focuses on the developing field of persistent, unique identifiers in the field of research. Alongside the mainstream adoption of identifiers for research objects, in the form of handles and Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), various other forms of identifiers are also becoming widely used. Examples include identifiers for humans (such as ORCiD & ResearcherID), for projects (RAiD), for grants and for institutions. This presentation explores these various forms of identifiers and the developing field of persistent, unique identification, and provides further reading for those interested in pursuing the topic more deeply.<br> identifiers;PID;PIDs;NeDICC;DOI;UID;handle;Open Science;RDM;Research Data Management;DMPonline;OSF;ZivaHub;Open Science Framework;Figshare;Data citation;ANDS;Australian National Data Service;ResearcherID;ORCiD;Zenodo;DataCite;CNRI;IDF;re3data;data publishing;research infrastructure;RAiD;Open Funder Registry;Wikidata;metadata;machine-actionable;Library and Information Studies 2018-11-28
