It covers some general information on what is Digital Humanities, seeking to identify its various approaches and diverse elements of practice. Using Achille Mbembe's assertion that "The Internet is Afropolitan" it also begins to contextualize Digital Humanities within the South African perspective, while also challenging the libraries to become the site of encounter between humanities and digital technologies for future projects
