Dataset associated with the publication in Ostrich "Anthropogenic food availability and body mass maintenance in urban Red-winged Starlings Onychognathus morio", by Risi, T; Sumasgutner, P; Cunningham, SJ.

Includes focal behaviour and diet data of red-winged starlings on the University of Cape Town campus on weekdays and weekends and degree of impervious surfaces in their home ranges. Also includes body mass and body size data from colour-ringed starlings, habituated to perch on a top-pan scale and weighed repeated through time.
