Assumptions made when working with confiscations/policing effort data

Excel spreadsheets have been provided by Pedro Goosen (DAFF) which provide various recorded statistics for west coast rock lobster confiscations and policing effort. Data are reported for each month from April 2008 to March 2011. For each month various statistics relating to confiscations and different policing effort types are provided for a range of compliance stations. An example extract is provided as Appendix A. The list of compliance stations (and types of policing effort) increases somewhat over time, and statistics from various task teams are added e.g. “TT Kleimond”.
