This dataset reflects the field data collected by Wesley Gush with the assistance of David Nkosi, Norman Ncube, David Maphisa and Claire Spottiswoode, on the population size and habitat use of Rudd's Lark in the grasslands surrounding the town of Wakkerstroom in the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa. These data were used to support the paper titled "Declines of the globally threatened Rudd's Lark Heteromirafra ruddi in one of its last remaining strongholds" authored by Wesley G Gush, David H Maphisa, Chevonne Reynolds, Paul Donald and Claire N Spottiswoode and accepted for publication in the journal Bird Conservation International on the 13th of February 2019 (see references).
