<p dir="ltr">This sound recording was created in Mardin, Turkey, as part of the field recordings for the performance <i>Sharing Notes </i>(2022)<i> </i>for the Mardin Biennial V, a musical collaborative performance by Kathyayini Dash (India), Petra Nachtmanova (Vienna), Erkan Canakci (Turkey) and Cagri Koc (Mardin). Cagri Koc sings Gulfirosh, a Kurdish lament. This was also a recorded presence in my thesis performance/event Shape of Grief (2023)</p><p dir="ltr">Sound recording by Kathyayini Dash</p>
