This is an edited recording of a webinar, together with slides, for the presentation Cleaning your Data for Analysis with GoogleSheets given on Wednesday, August 28th 2024, as part of the Digital Scholarship Series for researchers at UCT.

This session will look further into using spreadsheets to tidy up your data. We will explore some of the possibilities available to you through the use of tools, formulae and basic logical operators, as well as a brief look into how to find out more about the tools available in spreadsheets. Lets formulate a plan to clean up your data!

The Digital Scholar Series is run out of Digital Library Services at UCT Libraries. It aims to showcase some of the digital practices and tools available to enhance research skills, with an ongoing focus on managing research data efficiently. Topics covered deal with the management of digital materials for research (what some of us call ‘data’) and touch on digital topics throughout the research lifecycle.
