Ibali: Digital Collections UCT - Silent Launch Slides (Open Data Day 2021)

Presentation Slides and Screen/Audio recording from UCT Libraries Open Data Day 2021, supporting the silent launch of Ibali: Digital Collections UCT. Ibali is the University of Cape Town platform for showcasing collections with a wide variety of media and interrelated content.<div><br></div><div>Slides introduce the motivation for such a platform, a tour of three initial online collections with interviews with some of the collaborators, and a look at what is still in development.</div><div><br></div><div>Included is the screen and audio recording of the presentation.</div><div><br></div><div>Collections include:</div><div><div><b>Climate Change & Sustainability Resources</b></div><div>A repository of open access educational support materials focusing on climate change and related topics</div><div><b>Reimagining Tragedy in Africa and the Global South</b></div><div>Comprising of oral histories, archival productions, practice-as-research productions and publications, this digital site showcases the living archive of the 5-year research project: Reimagining Tragedy in Africa and the Global South.</div><div><b>Works of Art Collection</b></div><div>Showcase site of the Works of Art Collection of UCT promoting a vibrant and dynamic visual arts presence by building a collection of works of art in line with the University's vision and mission</div></div><div><br></div><div>Guest Speakers were:</div><div>Nomusa Makhubu</div><div>Andrew Petersen</div><div>Wendy Taylor</div>
