2017 Horse Mackerel Projections

This document updates a similar projection analysis developed in 2016, and used then to provide recommendations for limitations on the midwater component of the horse mackerel fishery for 2017. If the same approach used to calculate those limitations for 2017 is adopted for 2018, they would be for a TAC for 2018 of 24 500 t (reduced from 28 200 t for 2017) and for an unchanged effort restriction for directed midwater trawl fishing of 388 Desert Diamond equivalent sea days.
