Adaptations to the simulation procedure to generate pack data for the chokka squid (Loligo reynaudii) resource of South Africa

Suggestions made by the International Workshop Panel in 2023 to modify the model structure to generate proportions by weight in each pack category of squid are addressed in this paper. The results from the Base case simulation model to generate pack data are able to satisfactorily replicate the average patterns of the catch-at-length data. but the yearly patterns are very variable and not reflected that well.
