The Reference case assessment of the Prince Edward Islands (PEI) toothfish (Dissostichus eleginoides) resource reported by Brandão and Butterworth (2021) is updated to take the further data now available for 2021 into account. The differences in the results between the Reference case models of 2019, 2021 and 2022 are relatively small. With the further year’s data available, the results show better status for the resource in 2018 and 2020, but also a slight decline in abundance over the last few years (which nevertheless still sees the resource well above 𝐵𝑀𝑆𝑌).
