Schedules for developing and implementing OMP revisions for major South African fisheries

As part of the planning process, schedules for the four-yearly revisions of OMPs (Operational Management Procedures) for the four major fisheries in South Africa which are managed on this basis are plotted in the Figures overleaf.

It is essential that all stakeholders involved in the OMP revision process contribute within the deadlines prescribed so that adequate time is available for satisfactory completion of each of the components of the revision process so that overall implementation deadlines can be met.

Note that this schedule may require revision given finalisation of certain aspects of the implementation of the small scale fisheries policy.
