This paper reports the updated biomass indices (to include the 20241 season) obtained from the annual biomass survey at each island. The Tristan biomass index has declined somewhat since 2023 but continues to show to remains higher than the relatively low 2012-2016 values. The biomass survey index at Inaccessible which had shown a decline since 2017, has now improved again with the 2023 and 2024 values the highest since 2018. The decline evident from 2018 to 2019 at Nightingale was reversed in 2021. The 2024 value has however declined fairly substantially to a level similar to the pre-OLIVA level. The Gough 2024 index has declined since 2023 but continues to show a higher level than pre-2021. The percentage of females in the catch at Gough (around 25-40%) is much higher that at the other three islands (around 5-15%). The high percent females observed in the survey at Tristan in 2021 has not occurred again, with the 2022-2024 values back within the normal range.
