Suggestions for setting Interim TAC/Bs for 2023 in December 2022.

This document provides suggestions for how recommendations for each of the small pelagic Total Allowable Catches and Bycatches (TAC/Bs) could be made before the start of the small pelagic fishing season for 2023, noting that the final survey estimates of November 2022 biomass will only become available in early 2023. All survey estimates of biomass referred to in this document are those emanating directly from the survey and do not include any adjustment for survey bias, as accounted for in the stock assessments. The Addendum lists some perspectives raised during the Small Pelagic Working Group Technical Task Group meeting on 7th December 2022, following the presentation of this document.
