Amanda Bourne

PhD Candidate

Cape Town

I am a versatile, multi-disciplinary climate change research scientist and adaptation practitioner. I have a background in the social sciences, worked for several yeas in nature conservation and environmental policy, and am currently undertaking a PhD in biological science. In my work, I focus on responses to climate change in dryland ecosystems, including 1) species responses to climate change, and 2) integrating ecosystem-based adaptation into local community livelihoods, local and national government plans, and international decision-making forums.
