Luqman Muraina has interests in academia (higher education), African-based development advocacy, and agriculture. He will complete his MA Sociology degree at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2022 with funding from the Mastercard Foundation. He researches decolonization, higher education, African politics & development, black feminism, etc. The pioneer First Class degree awardee in Sociology from Olabisi Onabanjo University also has around 15 months of assistantship experience at UCT, University of Lagos (UNILAG), & Igbinedion University (IUO). Luqman is looking forward to starting a PhD in 2022/23. Luqman has six peer-reviewed articles to his name, amongst other short content & opinion pieces. He co-directs the activity of an emerging agribusiness in Nigeria - Quality Breeds Enterprises (QBE). Luqman dreams of an Africa continent that can stand tall amongst Global North nations. Finally, he dreams of a world free from inequalities, imperialism, and violence (ethnic and gender).
